GUWAHATI: To make pension disbursement easy for government employees, the Department of Pension & Public Grievances, Government of Assam, launched the Krigatagyata online portal. The system provides for online tracking of pension sanction and payment process. The tracking can be done by the individual as well as the administrative authorities for all actions preparatory to grant of pension and other retirement benefits as well as monthly pension paid after retirement.

The Secondary Education Department, Government of Assam, has authorized all Inspector of Schools to verify, authenticate and validate the pension papers/Service Books of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the provincialized High Schools/ HS Schools/Senior Secondary Schools of the districts and to send the authenticated scanned copy of the Service Books/pension papers through the online portal to the Director of Pension, Assam.

All Inspector of Schools have been asked to ensure that all the retiring teaching and non-teaching staff of the schools receive their pension in the next month subsequent to the date of retirement.

In case of court cases, excess drawal, overstay in service, date of birth-related issues, the matter should be brought to the notice of the seniormost Secretary of the Education Department and Pension & Public Grievances Department.
