Police team of West Guwahati Police District brought Athgaon murder accused from Bihar
A Police team of WGPD (West Guwahati Police District) on Friday, brought on remand the main accused in the shootout incident inside a business establishment at Athgaon here in January 2018.

GUWAHATI: A Police team of WGPD (West Guwahati Police District) on Friday, brought on remand the main accused in the shootout incident inside a business establishment at Athgaon here in January 2018.
Mentionably, a case — 23/2018 u/s 326/307/120 (B) IPC R/W SEC. 25 (1-A)/27 Arms Act — was registered at Bharulumukh Police Station in this regard. In that incident, Tribhuban Gupta — a businessman of Athgaon — was shot in his business premises. The businessman was seriously injured in that incident.
The already "named main accused" — Aditya Singh alias Niraj Singh — in the crime was picked up by Muzzafarpur Poilce in Bihar for their case in Mithanpura Police Station. After coordinating with the Police Station officials in Bihar, the WGPD Police team reached Muzaffarpur on August 22, 2021; and the accused was brought to Guwahati on Friday.
