PPE kits for State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel during floods

GUWAHATI: The Fire & Emergency Service has planned to arm State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to carry out rescue and relief operations during floods this year. The move aims at safety and protection of SDRF personnel in view of the COVID-19 outbreak in the State. Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna recently held a meeting with various concerned departments to discuss about flood preparedness. During the meeting the Fire & Emergency Service placed the proposal before the CM. The matter will now be taken up with the Health department.
