Provide financial aid for deceased's kin, says AALSA to OIL

GUWAHATI: On behalf of the All Assam Law Students' Association (AALSA), president of All Tinisukia District Law Students' Association Rishiraj Dutta along with the members of the committee submitted a memorandum to Oil India Limited (OIL) demanding to take instant measures to provide adequate financial aid to the family of the deceased. They body also demanded the OIL to provide job to a family member of each of the deceased. AALSA president Kishore Kalita stated that the State and Central governments should take immediate measures for the resettlement and rehabilitation of the people who have been affected in the area. He also requested the government to protect the biodiversity of Dibru-Saikhowa National Park.
