GUWAHATI: The Students' Advisory Council of the Cotton University wrote at letter to the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Kamrup Metropolitan District requesting not to convert the varsity hostels into quarantine centres or extend time to help the students to take their belongings. The letter stated that due to the sudden announcement of the lockdown, many students had left their important documents and other belongings in their respective hostels. "Most of us are having online examinations on May 26. It is a request to turn our indoor stadium as well as classrooms into quarantine centres instead of out hostels or at least give a minimum of 3 to 4 days so that the students can take their belongings. losing of a single document can hamper the academic career of the students," the letter stated.
