Railway Commissioner Inspects New Broad Gauge Line of Tetelia-Kamalajari Section

GUWAHATI: The much awaited 10.153 Km long new line of Tetelia-Kamalajari section is now ready for traffic from today. SK Pathak, Commissioner of Railway Safety, NF Circle, Kolkata inspected the newly constructed broad gauge line from Tetelia to Kamalajari under the Lumding Division on Sunday as per an NFR release. At first, he conducted a motor trolley inspection of the line from Tetelia to Kamalajari and then a speed train trial run from Kamalajari to Tetelia for the opening of the section for passenger traffic. The newly constructed 10.153 Km long BG line from Tetelia to Kamalajari is a portion of the section of the Tetelia to Byrnihat (21.640 Km) new BG line project.

The CRS, NF Circle was accompanied by SN Singh, Chief Administrative Officer, Ashish Sharma, DRM / Lumding, N Brahma, Chief Engineer / Con-9 and other senior Railway officials of both NF Railway Open Line & Construction Organisation. The entire project is undertaken by the NF Railway Construction Organisation, the release added.
