Red Cross Holds Disaster Management Training For Its Volunteers

GUWAHATI: Red Cross launched a training program on Wednesday for its volunteers to build “villagers resilegiance to risk related disasters, climate change, and environmental degradation.” A three day programme of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) training progarmme, Training of Trainers (TOT) was pioneered in the city on February 18 to 20 in collaboration with Indian Red Cross. The Assam State Branch of Indian Red Cross is the first in North East India to initiate this programme for communities.
