Rituraj Bora appointed new Morigaon Deputy Commissioner

GUWAHATI: In an order by the Governor notification, the Director, Employment and Craftsmen Training, Rituraj Bora has been transferred and posted as new Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon. Bora will replace Morigaon Deputy Commissioner in-charge Hemen Das. Other hand, Das has been posted as Secretary to Science and Technology Department.

Dispur did shuffle a number of IAS officers through a notification issued on Friday. Additional Chief Secretary to the Department of Power (E), Social Welfare, Labour Welfare, and Tea Tribe Welfare Jishnu Barua has been relieved from GAD and SAD but given the additional charge of the Excise Department.

Higher Education and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Principal Secretary Maninder Singh has been posted as the Principal Secretary of GDD. Water Resources and Irrigation Principal Secretary Hemanta Narzary, who also holds the post of Mission Director of Assam Water Mission has been relieved from the additional charge of Principal Secretary of Handloom, Textile and Sericulture. He has been posted as the Principal Secretary of Pension and Public Grievances Department in addition to his substantive posts. Principal Secretary to Revenue and Disaster Management, Welfare of Minorities and Development and Tourism Department Rajesh Prasad, who also holds the post of executive officer of ASDMA, has been relived from the additional charge of Excise Department.

The Commissioner of Barak Valley Division Dr. Anwaruddin Choudhury, who is the Commissioner-Secretary of Hill Areas and Mines and Minerals Department, has been relieved from the additional charge of Pension and Public Grievances Department. He has been posted as the Commissioner-Secretary, Handloom, Textile and Sericulture Department in additional to his substantive posts.
