On enquiry, it was found that both the girls — aged about 11 years — and residents of an area under Tamulpur Police Station had left their homes without the knowledge of their parents. Both the minor girls were later brought to the RPF post at Rangiya and handed over to the Child Line, Kamrup after observing necessary formalities. It may be mentioned that from 2017 to 2020 (up to October), 39 cases were detected by RPF with rescue of 105 children and arrest of 56 traffickers, stated a release.
