Shashindra Raimedi honour for Sankari cultural exponent Bhabaprasad Chaliha

GUWAHATI: The Shashindra Raimedhi Smarak Prashashan (SRSP) has named Sankari cultural exponent Bhabaprasad Chaliha for the life-time Shashindra Raimedi honour, 2020.

The award carries a gamosa, a citation, a cheleng, and Rs 10,000. The award is being given to him for the uplift of Indian philosophy and culture. Chaliha is a retired professor of Gauhati University. The award will be given away to the retired professor at his residence.

Earlier the award was given to Golok Chandra Goswami, Bisweswar Hazarika and filmmaker Pulok Gogoi.
