Sports shop gutted in Ulubari area of Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out at a shop in the Ulubari area of Guwahati on Thursday evening.

According to reports, Sports India' a sports shop located opposite B. Baruah College was gutted in the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown but it's suspected to be a short circuit.

Officials of the fire and emergency department stated that properties worth Rs 4.5 lakh were damaged.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 pm. As many as four fire tenders rushed to the spot and the fire was doused by 10:40 pm.
