GUWAHATI: The APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) has assured the new NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government of its cooperation on all matters related to the State. It added that the Congress looks forward to work in tandem with the new government for developing the State.
The president of APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee), Ripun Bora has also congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma for being elected as the leader of NDA Legislature Party and also as the Chief Minister designate of the new NDA government that is slated to assume office on Monday. Stating this in a tweet on Sunday, Bora added, "Our only vision must be to work in tandem to make Assam one of the most developed States of India. Best wishes."
APCC general secretary and senior spokesperson of the party, Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya said in a press statement, "We offer our congratulations to the next Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and also assure our positive cooperation in all development works to be initiated in the State during the future. The 'Mahajoot' will also extend its cooperation to the new State government in the war against COVID-19 so that the life and livelihood of the masses are properly protected."
