3 school buses, 2 trekkers seized

GUWAHATI, Dec 2: The State Transport Department today seized three buses of two Maharishi Vidhya Mandir campuses locate at Borhojai in the city. According to sources, the registrations of the three vehicles will be cancelled soon. The ban been enforced in the GMDA area. The Regiol Transport Authority (RTA) banned trekkers older than ten years and all public buses older than 15 years recently following a directive from the Gauhati High Court towards that end. The department has been on crackdown on old trekkers and buses plying in the city for the past few days. The department also seized two trekkers older then years from the Bhetapara area in the city today.
