By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Sept 10: The AIUDF has welcomed the decision taken by the BJP-led Government at Dispur to provide land, dwelling houses, water connection and LPG connections to 30,000 erosion-affected landless families of the State. In a statement issued to the press today, AIUDF Legislature Party leader Hafis Basir Ahmed Kashimi, who is also organizatiol general secretary of the party, said: “We laud the decision taken by Dispur. In fact, such a decision should’ve been taken long back. Dispur should ensure that only genuine erosion-affected landless families are enlisted as beneficiaries. Lakhs of erosion-affected landless people have been languishing in various parts of the State, facing harassment. In fact, Dispur should have a long-term scheme for the rehabilitation of erosion-affected landless people in the State.”
