APCC moves Governor seeking probe into killing

GUWAHATI, June 27: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) moved State Governor Banwarilal Purohit today requesting him to ensure that Congress workers in the State were not killed in the State anymore and the restoration of PSOs of Congress leaders taking the vulnerability of their security into mind.
In a memorandum submitted to the Governor, the State PCC said that the law and order deteriorated in the State after the BJP coming to power.    
Citing the recent killing of two Congress workers –Gulzar Khan at Laluk and Hiranya Doley in Joi – the APCC requested the Governor to ensure a high-level inquiry into the two killings.
