APKS expels Sarma as president

GUWAHATI, Dec 4: The Asom Prakritik Kabi Sanmilan (APKS) and its sister concern Rajyik Pokshi Suraksha Parishad (RPSP) president Bhubaneswar Sarma has been expelled from the Sanmilan for fincial anomalies, including forgery in withdrawal of Sanmilan funds. The Sanmilan expelled him in its general meeting held recently.

The Sanmilan has elected Khagendra Das as new president and Prahlad Sankar Bhagawati as the secretary general. Talking to newsmen in the city today, Das requested Sarma to hand over all documents, the seal, passbook etc., of the Sanmilan to Bhagawati soon.
