Art festival underway

GUWAHATI, Dec 2: River Brahmaputra Art Festival is underway in the city for three days in the bank of Brahmaputra at Bharalumukh. The festival has iugurated by Prabhat Sharma on Saturday.

Artists from ten states of the country, besides countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Iran and a few others, came to take part in the festival. A cultural troupe from Sri Lanka performed in the iuguration programme.

The three-day festival will see performance by Santoor player Pankaj Sarma, Violinist Monoj Baruah, a popular folk fusion band from the region and many others. There will also be art workshops by Intertiol and regiol artists.
