AXX kick-starts centery celebrations

GUWAHATI, Dec 26: Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) president Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bora has appealed to the people of Assam regardless of their caste, creed, religion and language to stand united under the Xabha flag that has marked the start of Xabha centery celebrations. Hoisting the AXX flag at Bhagawati Prasad Baruah Bhawan in Guwahati today Dr. Bora said: “I appeal to all to foil the ominous power and make the centery celebrations of the Xabha a success.” Dr. Parag Kumar Bhattacharya paid homage to people who had contributed much to the socio-cultural and literary life of Assam. Sharp at 8.45 am on the second day of the celebrations tomorrow, AXX flags will be hoisted all over the word by AXX branches. It will be followed by the singing of the State tiol Song ‘O mor apur desh…’ The celebrations were also started elsewhere in the State.
