BCOM for fielding minority OBC candidates in Barak

 By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, August 9: The Backward Communities Organization (Minority) (BCOM) says that minority OBC candidates in the minority-domited constituencies in the Barak Valley districts of Assam should be fielded by various political parties in the forthcoming Assam Assembly elections in 2016. BCOM president Ruhul Amin said this in a press conference in Dispur Press Club today. Amin said: “The OBC minority people of the state are being deprived of all the basic facilities and rights. The over 80 per cent minority OBC people who live in Barak Valley are majority in around ten of the 15 constituencies in the valley. However, till now, no OBC candidate has been fielded in the earlier Assembly elections.”
