Bid to break Chinese Guinness record

GUWAHATI, Nov 12: Bromide scratches artist and Guinness world record holder Apuraj Barooah, in collaboration with Cotton University Students’ Union, is organizing ‘Ami Axomiya’ Guinness world records. The programme was iugurated by District Development Commissioner Borli Sarmah at Cotton University.

Speaking to The Sentinel, Apuraj Barooah said: “I’ve taken this incentive to do Assam proud. We need to break the record scripted by Chi. Chi wrote ‘Chinese story’ in 24 hours, where 1178 people participated. So we need to cross the 1178 number of people within 24 hours. The topic is Ami Axomiya. The participant should write anything about Assam – why they love Assam or anything else about Assam. Our time starts from 11.10 am from Sunday to Monday 11.10 am. The best hope is there that we will do it. All students from various colleges are supporting us.” The college and university which are taking part in the venture are — Cotton University, Gauhati University, Pandu College, B Barooah College, Handique College Pragjyotish College, rengi Adorsho College etc.
