GUWAHATI, Jan 3: Reacting to Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Anjan Dutta terming the BJP a party of ‘hooligans’, the State BJP today said that Dutta should remember that ‘when we point the finger at someone, three of them are pointed right back at us’.
In a statement issued to the press today, State BJP spokesperson Bijon Majajon said: “Such talks from Anjan Dutta don’t sound well. His comments have lowered democracy. He has made such comments since he doesn’t believe in democracy. Such statements have also lowered the image of Congress leaders. The Congress should remember that its student wing NSUI did stage dhar in front of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan in the city lasy year. Issues like NSUI member demanding cash from Nezone Hotel in the city and a Bangladeshi taking shelter in the house of a Cabinet minister have badly inflicted the party.”
