BJP no altertive to Congress: Bora

GUWAHATI, Dec 28: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora has said that there cannot be any altertive to the Congress and that the rendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre has posed a threat to the tion. Bora was speaking at a function held at Rajiv Bhawan in the city on the occasion of the 132nd foundation day of the Indian tiol Congress (INS) today. Bora said: “The maxim of the BJP that sits down and stands up at the diktat of the RSS is to establish Hindu fundamentalism in the country by destroying the secular fabric that has kept all people of the country united. The people of the country are tired of the fascism of the BJP-led government. The economy of the country is on the verge of collapse because of the unplanned and unprepared demonetization declared by Modi.” Along with the INS, Congress Sevadal, a sister concern of the Congress, also observed its 93rd foundation day today. Meanwhile, the APCC condemned the incident of RSS activists shouting pro-Hindu slogans at Karenghar in Sivasagar recently.
