GUWAHATI, Nov 11: In order to help Assamese public, the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) released the Assamese GST rate finder app on Wednesday. Now, Assamese-speaking common consumers of the region can find out GST rates of Goods purchased and also can calculate the total duty payable on different purchases taken together at any point of time in the Assamese GST rate finder app. The Central GST Commissionerate has developed the Assamese version of the GST rate finder app for the benefit of Assamese-speaking people of the Northeast. This is being done to lay special emphasis to enhance the consumer awareness and outreach programme to educate common citizens about the benefits of GST and other required details handy. These applications are launched so that the consumers do not have any confusion on taxes they pay on their purchases by making full use of the applications. The commissionerate has also designed and developed another Mobile app med GST Self Help for the common consumers on the same day. Both these GST related mobile applications for the consumers are already available in Google Play store for download.
