Chamber of Commerce hails Union Budget

GUWAHATI, Feb 1: The Assam Chamber of Commerce has welcomed the Union Budget presented by Union Fince Minister Arun Jaitley. The Chairman of Assam Chamber of Commerce, Rupam Goswami stated that the budget presented on the floors of the parliament for the year 2017-18 is one of the most balanced budget presented till date. The Chairman stated that the budget not just focused on the rural segment, but has laid equal emphasis on all the necessary aspects, e.g. youth, urban development, sanitation, healthcare for unprivileged, farmers and even corruption. Goswami also stated that the commitment of the Prime Minister rendra Modi led NDA government to fight against corruption and tightening the noose on political fundings, is also evident in the budget. Goswami affirmed that the Budget is a bold step in the direction of strengthening the tion’s economy.
