CM asks BJYM to expand schemes

GUWAHATI, May 5: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal strongly urged the young brigade of the party to exclusively expand the ambitious welfare schemes of the regime. Sonowal was addressing the BJP’s Yuva Mocrha’s conclave, ‘Yuva Prabha – Lakshya, 2019’ at Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra on Saturday. Stressing that the present day is an era of competition, the Chief Minister ignited the youths to work hard to achieve the goal by honing their skill. He also pleaded the youth workers of the party to extend the welfare schemes of both the Centre and the State to benefit 26,000 villages, 3,000 tea estates and 2,500 sar areas of the State. 
Addressing the conclave, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha national president Poonam Mohajan highlighted that the development scenario of north east India has attained a new landscape after the BJP-led NDA government came to power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East Policy is leading to massive transformation in developing the region, Poonam observed. She also appealed to the party workers to form a Yuva Bahini to ensure the victory of the BJP in the ensuing general election.   Among others, State BJP president Ranjit Dass, Minister Pijush Hazarika, Topon Kumar Gogoi, Pallav Luchan Das and state BJYM president Anup Barman also attended the conclave.
