DIMORIA, Sept 2: The residents of Jorabat had a close shave when a coal-laden truck trailer (BP10CU9617) caught fire due to short circuit in the driver’s cabin at 13 Mile on NH-37 on Saturday.
The truck was bound for Guwahati from Margherita. Both the driver and the handyman stopped the vehicle at a safe place and informed the fire service of the incident. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The loaded coal was found intact.
