DC sets deadline for NFR, GMC

GUWAHATI, March 31: Kamrup(M) DC-cum-District Disaster Magement Authority (DDMA) chairman Virendra Mittal had a meeting with Chief Engineer Ravi Amrohi, Senior Divisiol Mager of NF Railway Khindar Ram and others in his office on Saturday and asked them cleaning up drains near northern side of the railway track from Chandmari to Dr B Baruah over bridge, pumping out of flood water near AGP office at Ambari, evection of illegal encroachments near the drain of railway at Happy Villa at Uzanbazar, cleaning up of railway drains near Bhootth and Kamakhya gar behind Kamakhya Railway Station and eviction drive at Sakuntala Colony for cleaning up of drains, a press release said. Mittal asked help from the Ward Councilor and ordered NF Railway and the GMC to complete all works within April 15.
