Extra AC coaches added to trains

GUWAHATI, Feb 22: To clear rush of passengers NF Railway authority has decided to add extra coaches in many trains.

According to a press release, an AC 3-tier coach will be added in 12519 / 12520 Kamakhya – Lokmanya Tilak Terminous AC Express on a permanent basis. The extra coach will be added from Kamakhya with effect from February 23, 2017 and from Lokmanya Tilak Terminous from February 26, 2017; an AC 3-tier coach will be added in 15624 /15623 Kamakhya – Bhagat Ki Kothi Express on a permanent basis –from Kamakhya from February 24, 2017 and from Bhagat Ki Kothi from February 28, 2017; an AC 3-tier coach to 15655 / 15656 Kamakhya – Katra Express on a permanent basis from Kamakhya from February 26, 2017 and from Katra from March 1, 2017; an AC 3-tier coach will be added to 15646 / 15645 Guwahati – Lokmanya Tilak Terminous Express on a permanent basis from Guwahati from February 26, 2017 and from Lokmanya Tilak Terminous from March 1, 2017; an AC 3-tier coach will be added to 15601 / 15602 Silchar – New Delhi Poorvatttar Sampark Kranti Express on a permanent basis from Silchar from February 27, 2017 and from New Delhi from March 2, 2017; and an AC 3-tier coach will be added to 12501 / 12502 Guwahati – New Delhi Poorvatttar Sampark Kranti Express on a permanent basis from Silchar from February 27, 2017 and from New Delhi from March 2, 2017.  It may be mentioned here that N.F. Railway has been constantly adding extra coaches for clearing of rush in trains with good patronisation. In the current fincial year more than 34 coaches have been added permanently in 14 trains. Temporary augmentations are also being done time to time in many trains by attaching extra coaches. In the current fincial year more than 1,92,530 berths have been provided additiolly by attaching coaches in many trains, the release added.
