By our Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, July 4: Ferrying passengers in the Brahmaputra in Guwahati is fraught with danger where the masculine river is flowing above the danger level.

The rising water level and the heavy current have prompted the district administration to suspend all the eight Guwahati-based parghats until further order. The water level of the river read 49.68 metres at 4 pm. This is the danger level of the river in Guwahati. The heavy current of the river is reported to carry heavy submerged logs and other materials.
