Fire damages Soil Conservation office

GUWAHATI, Oct 27: A major fire damaged the state Soil Conservation department office located at Gotagar area of the city last night.  The fire broke out last night at around 11 pm. Prelimiry reports suggest that a short circuit resulted in the fire. Many important documents and furniture of the office were damaged in the fire.  As many as seven fire tenders reached the spot and maged to douse the blaze.
