GUWAHATI, Sept 9: The Hindu Yuba-Chatra Parishad: Asom (HYCPA) has said that New Delhi and Dispur should emulate the policy adopted by Maynmar for tiol security and security of indigenous people of the country.
In a statement issued to the press on Saturday, HYCPA president Balen Baishya and general secretary Dipankar Gohain said: “Both Dispur and New Delhi should follow the policy adopted by Myanmar on Rohingiyas for tiol security and the security of the indigenous people of the country. The Congress in Assam siding with the Rohingiyas in such a situation is unfortute. It’s an anti-tiol stand. We caution the Congress not to advocate for the Rohingiyas anymore.  The Congress is shedding tears for the Rohingiyas. They, however, spoke no word during the recent genocide of Hindus in 24 Porgo District in West Bengal. Their ‘humanity’ is not awaken when atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh go ubated, leading them to enter Assam and create economic problem in the State. Delhi and Dispur should keep a close watch so as not to allow the Rohingiyas being driven out from Myanmar enter Assam and India. We want the Centre and Dispur to tackle the problem of jehadi and insurgency in Assam with an iron hand before it too late.”
