Gaurav raises NRC delay in LS

GUWAHATI, March 20: Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi today raised the issue of delay in NRC update in the Lok Sabha. The MP said that despite an order from the Supreme Court to complete the process of NRC update by 2016, the process is running behind schedule due to shortage of manpower. He further said that those engaged in NRC update work are either contractual workers or government officers.
