Girl commits suicide

GUWAHATI, Nov 16: A girl committed suicide in a rented house at Gandhi Basti in the city between 7 pm and 9 pm last night. The girl was staying in the rented house with her parents and brother.

According to reports, the girl came back home early from their shop at Paltan Bazar. When her mother also came home after closing the shop at night, she found the room locked from inside. She informed the police soon. After breaking the door the police and her mother found her hanged from a ventilator in the room.

According to her parents, the lover of the girl died on October 10 this year, and since then she was not mentally sound.
