Gogoi condoles death of NN Singha

GUWAHATI, January 27: The Assam Government will accord full state honours to eminent sportsperson and sports organizer Nripendra rayan Singha. This was announced by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today. Singha passed away at his residence at Jorhat today. In a statement here, the Chief Minister, while mourning the death of Singha, said in his passing away Assam lost an eminent sportsperson and organizer who made outstanding contribution to the development of games and sports. “The outstanding contribution by Singha for the development of games and sports, particularly football, would be remembered for all times to come. The void created by his death will be hard to fill,” he said. Late Singha was an accredited referee of FIFA. His death has been widely mourned by different sports organizations.
