Governor greets teachers

GUWAHATI, Sept 4: Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit greeted the teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Governor said, "Teachers are the edifice on which the entire society hinges. Future of a tion is intrinsically associated with the teachers. On this day, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to the unique and unparalled role of teachers". He also said, "Celebrations of Teachers' Day commemorating the birth anniversary of the great philosopher, scholar and guide Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishn is a fitting acknowledgement to the immense contribution of our teachers". The very fulcrum of the society move and the human civilization takes a stride because of the role of the teachers. On this occasion the society should bow as a mark of respect and gratitude to the selfless services of the teachers, the Governor added.
