Grocery goods worth Rs 7 lakh sold by truck driver? One arrested

GUWAHATI, Oct 17: The Panbazar Police today arrested one Gauranga Sarkar from Rakshashigaon under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district today for purchasing stolen goods worth Rs 50,000. The grocery goods were also seized from him. According to reports,  an abandoned truck was found at a place under Dhekiajuli police station on October 8. On investigation, it has been revealed that the truck left Fancy Bazar in Guwahati for Joi with goods worth Rs 7 lakh of broker Niraj Mundra on October 6. On October 9, Mundra lodged an FIR in Panbazar police station, and today’s arrest has been made while acting into the case registered. The driver of the truck has been absconding.
