Health Minister opens Haldha PHC

GUWAHATI, August 3: Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. zrul Islam dedicated a new Primary Health Centre at Haldha under Kamalpur LAC to the service of the people at a function held at Haldha in Kamrup district.

 Speaking at the iugural function, Islam said that the six-bed PHC is an achievement of the present government and a long-cherished dream of the local people which got fulfilled today. The PHC would remain open round the clock and it would go a long way in providing basic health care facilities to people of the district. He appealed to all the public to have a cordial relation with the hospital staff and extend all possible help to the successful running of the hospital.

Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department Sanjeeva Kumar, present on the occasion, said that the facilities made available with the hospital would be able to fulfil health related requirements of the people of the area.

Karup Deputy Commissioner Vinod Seshan, while speaking on the occasion, said that with the iuguration of the PHC, the people of the district would be in a position to get primary health care service at their disposal. He also said if the people encounter any problems or has any suggestions regarding the betterment of the services of the PHC, then they can directly meet him. District Administration will spend no time in taking necessary remedial steps.
