By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, May 26: The Hindu-Yuba-Chatra Parishad: Asom (HYCPA) observed ‘anti-deception’ day by staging a dhar at Dighalipukhuripar in the city, marking the completion of a year of the BJP-led government in the State. They submitted their 112-point charter of demands to the Prime Minister through the Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner. In their memorandum to the Prime Minister they said that the Sarbanda Sonowal government in the State failed miserably on all fronts. They raised the demand for the removal of the Chief Minister of the State, if need be. The Parishad termed the first year of the Sonowal government as ‘deception’ as he utterly failed to meet the pre-poll assurances given to the people of the State. Around 200 workers and leaders of the parishad were present at the dhar. Their demands include implementation of Assam Accord, total sealing of India-Bangladesh border, revival of ASTC, etc.
