Minister's note not executed

GUWAHATI, February 16: No action has been taken against the joint director of nursing under Directorate of Health Service, Niva Doley, despite the Health Minister asking the top officials in the department to take punitive action against her for fincial anomalies. Former Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had ordered an inquiry into fincial anomalies allegedly committed by Doley. After coming to the chair, new Health Minister Dr zrul Islam saw her file and wrote a note asking the Principal Secretary of the department to take punitive action against her as per the law. However, the Principal Secretary and the Deputy Secretary are yet to take any action against Doley. Sources said that the two top bureaucrats had an understanding with Doley.
