Miscreants arrested

GUWAHATI, Sept 18: A four-member group of miscreants created havoc at a leading restaurant in the city on Saturday night.

Police sources said that the incident happened at about 8:45 pm in a leading restaurant situated at the Guwahati Shillong (GS) Road.

“The four crimils created disorder in the restaurant and manhandled two private security guards employed there. Both the guards – Diganta Pathak and Tarun Das – received minor injuries. The goons also physically assaulted a police constable – Haren Kalita. On receiving information, a team of Dispur Police rushed to the spot and enquired into the matter. The police later arrested the four culprits – Jitu Kalita (21), Kuljit th (21), Kuldeep th (26) and Dhiraj th (30).” stated the police source.
