MLAs, NHM, taxation officers contribute to CM's Relief Fund

GUWAHATI, August 10: Flood relief continues to get deposited in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Today several MLAs, officials of the tiol Health Mission (NHM and the Assam Taxation Officers’ Association (ATOA) doted generous to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. MLAs contributed their month’s salary of Rs 60,000 each. The MLAs, who handed over the cheques to Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal at his office chamber here today, included Pradan Baruah, Angoorlata Deka, Kishore th, Guru Jyoti Das, Padma Hazarika, Rama Kanta Dewri, Siddhartha Bhattacharya and Bolin Chetia. Meanwhile, officials and employees of tiol Health Mission met Chief Minister Sonowal at his office chamber and handed over a bank draft for Rs 1.21 lakh as contribution towards the relief fund. The Chief Minister thanked the MLAs and NHM for extending a helping hand towards the flood-affected people.  On August 9, the Assam Taxation Officers’ Association handed over a cheque of Rs 2,53,500 to the Chief Minister as dotion for flood relief.
