Modi launches scheme for CAs today

GUWAHATI, June 30: Prime Minister rendra Modi is going to launch a scheme on July 1, 2017 to make Indian chartered accountants (CAs) qualify as Global Chartered Accountants.
Modi is going to address the CA fraternity on July 1,  the CA Day, at a function at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. This year the day coincided with the launch of the biggest tax reforms in the country – Goods and Services Tax (GST).  A panel discussion on GST will be organized to enhance the understanding of the law and its applications. The panel discussion will be attended by Union Fince Minister Arun Jaitley and Fince Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, along with representatives of the various trade associations and business houses. Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and Union Minister of State for Exterl Affairs MJ Akbar will grace the occasion and address the fraternity, members of trade bodies, tax payers and others in Guwahati.
