'MyGov Assam' invites entries for poster designing contest

Guwahati, May 4: With a view to incorporate innovative ideas of the people of the state in governce and to ignite their creative and intellectual aptitude in general and youth in particular, ‘MyGov Assam’, a digital platform organises poster designing competition on Road Safety and Sanitation & ODF Awareness. The interested participants may send their entries at www.assam.mygov.in on or before May 10, 2017 for Road Safety and May 18, 2017 for Sanitation and ODF Awareness, a press release stated.

The winners of the poster designing contest on ‘Road Safety’ will be awarded with certificate of merit signed by Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and the selected first, second and third position holders of ‘Sanitation and ODF Awareness’will be awarded with cash prizes worth Rupees thirty thousand, Rupees twenty thousand and Rupees ten thousand respectively along with a certificate of merit signed by the Chief Minister.

It may be mentioned that, while launching the ‘MyGov Assam’ portal, on April 10, 20017, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal stressed upon participatory democracy for equitable and sustaible development of the State and also urged people to utilise this platform for constructive purpose, playing the role of a critic.

‘MyGov Assam’, designed to reach out common masses and establish two way communication between government and general public along with all other stakeholders is gaining immense popularity within three weeks of its launch. This digital platform has 1.38 K registered users and received 801 organic Facebook likes and 132 Followers with the satisfactory trend of increasing these numbers.
