NFR to run special Holi trains

GUWAHATI, Feb 23: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced three special trains to clear the rush during the ensuing Holi festival.

"We have already notified three special trains to clear the rush ahead of Holi. Special trains will run from Kamakhya to And Vihar, Katihar to Jalandhar City and Guwahati to Gorakhpur and back," NFR chief public relations officer PJ Sharma today.

The Kamakhya – And Vihar Terminous (New Delhi) Super Fast Holi special (No-02503) will leave from Kamakhya on March 8 and March 15 at 10 am to reach And Vihar next day at 9.30 pm. In return direction the And Vihar Terminous (New Delhi) – Kamakhya Super Fast Holi special (No. 02504) will leave from And Vihar on March 10 and 17 at 5.15 am to arrive Kamakhya next day at 8.30 pm. The train will have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier and sleeper class coaches.

The Katihar –Jalandhar City Holi special (No-05717) will leave from Katihar on March 9 and 16 at 9.00 am to reach Jalandhar City next day at 6.30 pm.

During return journey the Holi special (No. 05718) will leave from Jalandhar city on March 11 and 18 at 1.15 am to arrive Katihar at 11-30 pm next day. The train will have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches.

The Guwahati – Gorakhpur Holi special (No-05609) will leave from Guwahati on March 10 and 17 at 9 pm to reach Gorakhpur next day at 9.35 pm. During return journey the Holi special (No-05718) will leave from Gorakhpur on March 11 and 18 at 11.30 pm to reach Guwahati next day at 11.55 pm. The train will have AC 2 tier, AC 3 tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches.
