DC asks officials to complete the remaining NRC works by April 30

GUWAHATI, April 27: Almost 97.75% works of Office Verification Process of the NRC updates exercise have been completed in Kamrup (M) district.

Kamrup ADC KC Pegu, who is the in charge of NRC updating work in the district, has revealed this in a review meeting here on Thursday. The review meeting was held at the Circuit House in the city. Kamrup (M) Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu took stock of the ongoing NRC update exercise at the meeting.

Pegu said that the process of Office Verification Process in the district is completed almost 97.75 %.

“Out of 6, 25,675 applications received from the citizens 6, 11,610 applications data verification has been completed on April 25,” he said.

The DC specially reviewed on FAB-1 (Fil ARN Baseline) process and XIDHANTA online process at the meeting. Through this computer generated process, correction or record and modification on any issues found with any ARN (Application Receipt No.) such as erroneous Field Verification Report, Legacy Data Code, ARN structure etc has been done.

Regarding FAB-1 except Dispur (95.49%) and Guwahati (91.81%) revenue circle in the Azara, Chandrapur and Sopur revenues circle have come out with 100 % completion.

Similarly, 99% progress has been recorded in XIDHANTA online.  Of the five revenue circles in the district except Guwahati (99%), all the four revenue circles came out with 100% progress.

DC Dr Angamuthu expressed his satisfaction over the progress of ongoing NRC updating process. He also ordered officials to complete the remaining works by April 30.

After the review meeting, in respect of ensuing monsoon season to prevent flood and for relief and rehabilitation activities DC also has given some instruction to the ADCs and Circle Officers.

The DC ordered Circle Officers of Azara, Chandrapur & Sopur to inspect the draige systems of their respective areas and to submit a comprehensive report on it.

He also divided Guwahati City in to several zones to prevent flood and deputed one ADC for each zone. Accordingly, Maligaon - Pandu area will be looked after  by ADC K.C. Pegu, badip Pathak will take care regi – Chandrapur area while Anil gar – bin gar are will be looked after by P Mahanta and Jorabat – Khapara area by PP Kathkatia and ADC P Mazumdar will look after the Fatashil Ambari area.
