PM along with Sonowal unveils books on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

GUWAHATI, Sept 30: Prime Minister rendra Modi on Friday iugurated India Sanitation Conference -2016 at a function held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi and delivered the iugural address emphaisisng that ‘it is the responsibility of everyone to work towards cleanliness’.

In the conference, Modi in presence of Assam Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal unveiled three books concerning Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Modi also released a book christened ‘Swachh Bharat’ to transform the campaign into a mass movement, in presence of Union Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation rendra Singh Tomar, Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkiah idu and Chief Ministers of other states.

Moreover, in order to make welfare schemes of the Government people’s centric, Modi released another book called ‘Kurukshetra’. A special edition of a book based on Swachhta Abhiyan med ‘Amar Chitra Kotha’ was also released on the occasion.
