GUWAHATI, May 14: Police investigation into the robbery in MP Jewelers in the city has discovered Hojai as its epicentre, and the adventure, rather misadventure, has been executed with full confidence with professiol hands. According to sources, the robbers did not even leave the hammer they had used to break the glass of the showcases behind. This, the sources said, shows the professiolism on the part of the dreaded robbers. The gang has also been involved in other crimes as well. Bikram Meitei, who was arrested by the police yesterday, has cases against him in various places. He is a history-sheeter. Hailing from Imphal, he has committed many crimes in Assam, and he has many addresses in different parts in the State. He has two cases against him at Changsari police station – one (106/16) is relating to decamping with a loaded truck from Gauripur Industrial Park and the other (181/16) is about looting a huge amount by killing a person.  Meitei has been under police custody for five days since yesterday.
