Puja greetings by Governor, CM

GUWAHATI, Sept 26: Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and his Cabinet colleagues have conveyed their greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Durga Puja. In a message to the people of the tion and Assam in particular the Governor said, “Durga Puja marks the eterl essence of victory of good over evil and usher in hope and bright future. I hope that the festivity strengthens the spirit of unity to fight against all evils.”  In a separate message, the Chief Minister said, “On the occasion of Durga Puja, I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to all the people of Assam. Durga Puja symbolizes victory of good over evil. Let the celebrations of Durga Puja really mark the triumph of good forces over the bad ones and strengthen the harmonious co-existence of our composite society. May this festival fortify the moral foundations of our society and turn us away from all that divides and work towards expediting the development of our state.” State Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary also extended his greetings to the people of Assam. In a statement, he said, “Durga Puja festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and guides us to follow the path of righteousness.”
