Reintroduce pass-fail system: AISEC

GUWAHATI, July 1: Assam branch of the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC) has raised the demand for introduction of the pass and fail system in schools from Class 1 again.

Members of the AISEC staged a mass sit-in at Dighalipukhuripar in the city today in support of their demand for reintroduction of the pass-fail system in schools from Class 1. Teachers, students and guardians took part in the agitation. In a leaflet circulated today, Prof. Bhupendra th Kakati and Prof. Pradip Mahapatra said: “The report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development has mentioned the fall is quality of education from Class 1 to Class VIII after doing away with the pass-fail system in examitions.”
