Scheme launched to provide affordable health care service

 GUWAHATI, Aug 17: Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Thursday launched a health care scheme titled—Affordable Health Mission—at NEDFi auditorium here.

The scheme has been launched with an eye to provide an affordable health care service to the people of the region.  
Speaking at the event, Governor Purohit said, “Addressing this multi-dimensiol challenge, requires a solution that combines humane intent, progressive policies and equitable practices. Only when the body is free from diseases and an individual can contribute to the socio-economic growth of the tion, the tion prospers. To accelerate progress towards prosperity, we bring to the world an initiative that seeks to provide society a platform that delivers freedom from ill-health. I request all members of the community to join us in this public mission of creating a healthy society.” 
“Over 1 billion individuals globally lack access to healthcare services. Bridging this gap through appropriate healthcare services will result in healthier populations and a robust economy. Fulfilling this pressing need requires a multi-dimensiol effort encompassing educating various sections of society, continuous advocacy, concerted actions and societal collaboration. An initiative to pursue this multi-dimensiol objective, med as Affordable Health Mission has been launched by GNRC founder Dr Nomal Chandra Borah,” said an official of GNRC.
In the programme, a biography of Dr Nomal Chandra Borah, titled Hope Dawns in the East was also launched by Governor Purohit and Anil Sinha, Former Regiol Head of Intertiol Fince Corporation (IFC) – World Bank Group’s Advisory Business in South Asia. 
Dr Nomal Chandra Borah, Founder, Affordable Health Mission and Chairman cum Maging Director, GNRC, said, “The primary cause of alarming number of health conditions is lack of persuasive communication about healthy living and the role of preventive healthcare and early intervention in it. Affordable Health Mission is a platform to take this message of healthy living to the masses, and thereby serve the cause of society-building and tion-building.”
